Risperdal is a psychiatric drug used to treat schizophrenia. I also found newspaper articles stating the federal government had approved the drug for the treatment of bi-polar in children and that that diagnosis has exploded in recent years. My attempts to bring this to their attention have not just been ignored but they have become extremely hostile towards me. I had seen Psychiatrists for many years and took this drug. It has completely ruined my life. I went through a series of hospitalizations from 2004 to 2007. I ran into 4 people in 3 hospitals that had a very distant gaze in their eyes. Including a girl 10or 11 yrs old that was on an adult ward despite there being a childrens ward in the building.
